License for wholesale of medicinal products

Wholesale of medicinal products within the territory of Ukraine is performed by enterprises, institutions, organizations and natural persons-entrepreneurs based on a license issued as required by the law of Ukraine.

A license for such activity is issued if the respective facilities qualified personnel are available. Their compliance with the established requirements and characteristics declared in the documents submitted by the applicant are subject to mandatory inspection before licensing.

An enterprise may carry out wholesale of medicinal products only if it complies with the license provisions for a certain activity.

It is worth noting that only registered medicinal products may be marketed within the territory of Ukraine, except for the cases expressly provided by law.

Medicinal products may be marketed only if a relevant certificate of quality is available, which is issued by the manufacturer (for imported medicinal products – by the importer (manufacturer or an entity/person being a representative of the manufacturer in Ukraine).
