Registration of charitable institutions

Pursuant to the law of Ukraine, a charity organization is a public entity, which incorporation documents specify charity in one or several spheres stipulated by law as the major goal of its activity.

Charity organizations may be founded by legally capable individuals and legal entities, except for governmental bodies, local self-government, or other public entities.

Founders of charity organizations or persons authorized by such founders make a decision on establishment of charity organizations, approve of their incorporation documents and members of management bodies, and any other decisions related to establishment and registration of charity organizations.

Charity organization may be founded as a charity society, charity institution or charity fund with the consideration of peculiarities stipulated with the law of Ukraine.

Charity organizations accrue rights and duties of a legal entity as soon as their state registration is completed.
