Registration of NGO

Public association is a voluntary association of individuals and / or public entities for protection of rights and freedoms, satisfaction of public interests, in particular economic, social, cultural, environmental and other interests.

Public association is founded as a non-governmental organization or a public union.

Non-governmental organization is a public association which is founded and joined by individuals.

Public union is a public association founded by public entities and joined by public entities and individuals.

Public association may operate as a legal entity or without such status. Public association with a status of a legal entity is a non-entrepreneurial company, which primary aim is not related to profit-making.

Public associations are registered or report on their foundation in accordance with the procedure stipulated with the law of Ukraine, within 60 days of the foundation meeting.

Actions made on behalf of a not registered public association or public union which reports have not been accepted in accordance with the procedure provided by law – except for the actions related to registration of such association or report on its foundation – are prohibited.
